So EXCITED! About Pink Paper Bakery!!!

I am so super excited that I was asked by Jenny Wood of the Pink Paper Bakery to be a guest on the site! Talk about a total and complete honor!

I wasn’t really sure what I was going to make for them. However, my daughter Meadow came to me and asked for a new night light for her room. I took her to Ikea (our favorite place for inspiration besides Pier 1 Imports) to take a look around. She said she didn’t like any of them, but maybe I could make it pretty… or from her it was “Or I know you could make one of these pretty mommy!”. Now just how exactly am I supposed to refuse that? I can never refuse her.

We got the lamp at Ikea for $4.99 I came home and got out the new Tea for two Designer Series paper from Stampin’ Up!’s new Spring Catalog (love it!). Meadow loves the paper too, so I knew this would look great and would work for her “pretty”! Grabbed my Big Shot, the Fun Flowers Die, some hot glue sticks and a hot glue gun! I was off! Started running all the paper through the big shot ( I have some left over flowers) and started to hot glue them all together. I started at the top and just kept adding and when the row was finished I just moved down and started a new row. It took 32 flowers to completely cover the lamp shade.

Yes she loves the lamp! She says “momma, you need to hurry up and finish taking pictures so I can put it in my room” Kind of funny that my kids are 5 and 6 years old and they know all about blogs, posting on them and having to take photos of all your creations so you can show them off to all your friends.  Heck if I don’t take photos of a creation, my kids are scolding me as to why not! haha! :)
