Yesterday was my hubby’s birthday. I would say happy birthday but he doesn’t read my blog… so I can tell you all kinds of fun things on here and he would never know hehe! Now don’t get me wrong.. he is probably one of the most supportive Stampin’ Up! hubbys out there… he is the one that says “you are never allowed to stop doing Stampin’ Up! it is the one thing that is left that defines you as YOU” What he means is now I am “Jake’s wife” or “Stephen and Meadow’s mom” I love it, he GETS IT! Yup he’s a keeper!
Yesterday he turned 39 :) He has a love of bicycles just as I do only his back end still fits on the seat..haha! So while he thought this was just a card for the event I had a couple of weeks ago, this really was made because I needed a birthday card for him. I love doing that kind of stuff. I will never forget the first time I did it to him. It was Christmas and I had gotten photos professionally done. I asked him while we were at the store shopping “hey babe you think your mom would like this frame?” (yes she really does collect them for all her many photos) and he said it would be a really cool frame for her… little did he know that the frame was for him :) hehe! It is so much fun seeing if he likes something when he thinks it is for someone else. It is a kodak moment when he opens the gifts!
Okay so I know that some of you are looking at this saying “what or how did she make the red part in the middle under the bike..” Easy peasy! I used the Labels Collection Framelits Dies I believe the 3rd one from the center (those of you that have them will know what I mean) I cut it out in Cherry Cobbler card stock, ran it through the Big Shot again with the Hounds tooth Textured Impressions folder. After I did all that I cut it in half and just stuck the straight halves on the outer edge. see like I said easy peasy!
The other stuff I used was:
- Very Vanilla card stock
- Early Espresso card stock
- 2 1/2 circle punch
- Vintage Trinkets Accents & Elements
- Feeling Sentimental (Stampin’ Up! Sale A Bration Stamp Set)
- Early Espresso Classic Ink
- Parker’s Patterns Designer Series Paper
That is all I used … wow amazing how short the list is! haha!
