Doily? Are you serious??

Okay so a lot of you that really know me, know I have a serious issue with doilies and it is all due to a VERY bad experience. So the word Doily might as well be a naughty four letter word to me.  So it is huge steps for me to be using one on a card… much less that I even purchased them!

I will say this… it is all Shelli’s fault! She had some great cards at leadership that all used them. and well…. yes, I had to give it a try. Granted I still hiss at them every time I look at them when they are on my desk….. but I am coming to terms with them that it wasn’t their fault for the bad experience..haha!

I actually cut this Tea Lace Paper Doily in half to double it up. The flower and the sentiment are from the “Oh Hello” Stamp Set.  I used Pretty in Pink and Lucky Limeade Stampin’ Write Markers to color the stamps, instead of using ink pads.

A fun thing that we all learned about the Delicate Details Lace Tape – is that you can peel it up and lay it back down on either the project you are working on or on something else. Shelli showed us that at Stampin’ Up! Leadership.. it was really cute too because she didn’t even know at the time if it could be done or not it was more of a “lets see” moment, which made it so fun!

The designer series paper is from Twitterpatted, and from First Edition Designer Series packs. I finished it off with some Basic Jewel Pearls. I also used a 1″ square punch to make the flags.
